These Terms of Use govern your use of oceanhideaways.com and any golf cart rental or homeowner management service you book with Ocean Hideaways LLC ("Ocean Hideaways," "we," "us"). By using this site or booking with us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book with us.

Our services

We rent golf carts to visitors and residents, and provide golf cart management for homeowners — routine inspections, washings, guest support, repair coordination, transport, battery monitoring and seasonal readiness — on Oak Island, Holden Beach and Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Our fleet, what's included and current rates are described on our rentals page and may change from time to time; the price you see at checkout is the price we hold you to.

Booking & reservations

"Book Now" and each island's booking button hand you off to our reservation system, hosted by our booking and payment partner, Valet. You're responsible for giving us accurate contact and delivery information there so we can get your cart to the right house on the right day.

Rental agreement, drivers and use of the cart

The terms of the rental itself — the cancellation and change window, driver and licence requirements, security deposit, fuel and charging, damage and late-return terms — are set out in the rental agreement and waiver you complete when you book and at delivery. That agreement governs the rental; these Terms of Use govern the website and the relationship around it. If the two ever conflict on a rental question, the rental agreement wins.

Our carts are street legal and come with island parking, but that doesn't change the rules of the road. You're responsible for operating the cart lawfully and safely, for everyone you let drive it, and for following local ordinances on where carts may be driven and parked.

Delivery & pickup

We deliver your cart charged and ready at your vacation home and collect it at the end of your stay. Please make sure we can reach the delivery spot and that the cart is accessible and unobstructed on pickup day. Let us know about anything at the property that affects access — a gate code, a narrow drive, a locked garage — before your delivery date.

Pricing & payment

Rentals are quoted and paid through Valet at the rate shown for your cart, island and dates. Homeowner management services are quoted per property before work begins. Payment is collected through Valet's checkout and payment processing; by paying you agree to Valet's own terms for that transaction in addition to these.

Homeowner services

Management services are arranged directly with us rather than through the booking system, and the scope — what we check, how often, and what we're authorised to spend on a repair without calling you first — is agreed in writing before we start. We coordinate repairs with local shops; parts and labour are billed at cost unless we've agreed otherwise.

Text messaging terms

If you provide a mobile number to us, through our contact form, or at checkout on Valet, you may receive text messages about your rental or your cart — confirmations, delivery and pickup coordination, reminders, and occasional updates — as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Message frequency varies based on your reservation and service schedule.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of renting a cart or purchasing any service.

Limitation of liability

We maintain our fleet and deliver every cart charged and inspected, but a golf cart is an open vehicle and you drive it at your own risk. To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim related to a rental or a service is limited to the amount you paid for the rental or service giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under North Carolina law.

Third-party services

Booking, checkout and payment run through Valet, a third-party platform we don't control. Your use of the Valet booking flow is also subject to Valet's own terms and conditions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use as our services change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the update.
